DON'T CRITICIZE OTHERS ,THEY MAY BE RIGHT. By jyotikakkar(who lives for today).

While discussing a subject, everybody seems to give his/her own opinion and does not agree with another person's opinion. Then why we discuss? If we are not ready to give a thought to another opinion we should go ahead with our own thinking. and should not criticize others.

Discussions are important only when we are prepared to accept that we can also be wrong.

Reasons to upset us are always there. It is up to us how we handle the situation. If we can ignore them then fine but if we want to clarify or start putting forth only our point, remember it is of no use. Nobody is ready to accept that he/she can be wrong. So we should live in our own way but don't let others down. They may also be right.

take care of your bones(A column fr an english daily)

strong skeletal frame is vital not only to provide structure to the body but also protect the internal organs and anchor the muscles.

Apart from this, a healthy set of bones is crucial for good posture, balance and strength. Now the two key nutrients responsible for developing healthy strong bones are calcium and phosphorus. Smaller amounts of other nutrients like vitamins, proteins and minerals are also important for healthy bones.

The process of developing healthy bones begins at birth. However, it is important that a healthy, bone-friendly diet programme is maintained all throughout the life. This becomes particularly important after about 30 years of age.

You of course have the option of going for calcium supplements (but do consult a doctor before you do that), you can also try some calcium-rich foods to make up for the deficiency of calcium and keeping the bones healthy. Below, we discuss five super foods which can help you boost your bone density at any age:

Milk

Without a shadow of doubt, milk is the best (and readily available) source of calcium required for proper bone growth. According to the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), low fat or fat-free milk is the best choice as it has high calcium content without the added fat and this facilitates easy absorption of calcium by the body. And it's not just calcium. Milk is also rich in nutrients like potassium, magnesium, riboflavin, phosphorus and Vitamins D, A and B12, all of which are important for healthy bones.

Orange Juice

Oranges are packed with essential nutrients like vitamins, minerals and calcium. They are a must-have for healthy bone growth. They can be especially used by individuals who have intolerance to lactose and cannot obtain their daily calcium requirements from dairy products. So next time you help yourself with a serving of fruits, make sure you have enough oranges in that.

Dairy Products

Many experts have designated dairy products like cheese and yogurt as preferred source of calcium due to their high calcium levels. In case you are lactose intolerant, you can also opt for other dairy products that are either lactose-free or have low levels of lactose. Yogurt is contains a chemical called lactoferrin which an iron-binding protein which promotes the growth and activity of osteoblasts (the cells that build bones).

Nuts and Seeds

Besides being rich in calcium, nuts like walnuts, flaxseeds, almonds, pistachios etc are also very good sources of minerals and omega 3 fatty acids. Peanuts and calcium contain potassium which prevents loss of calcium in urine.

Greens

Dark green leafy veggies like brocolli and spinach are great sources of calcium and vitamin D and it's the latter which helps in absorption of Calcium and Phosphorus, thereby ensuring growth of healthy bones and teeth. Collards and turnip greens can also be helpful in providing you with your daily dose of calcium. The alkaline effect of eating a diet rich in these vegetables will help you to strengthen your bones and promote bone growth by preventing calcium loss. Besides, plant sterols (steroid hormones) are converted to a hormone called calciferol and that aids calcium absorption. (MensXP.com)

Think proactive act proactive

Doon youth club conducts classes to make us realize about our behaviour.

What I understood am sharing here.

We respond to any situation or matter of dispute in two ways. Sometimes it is proactive response and sometimes it is reactive.

First lets know what is reactive and what is proactive.

1-Reactive response-negative feelings,lose-lose situation ,weak, looser and so on.

2-Proactive response- positive feelings, powerful,win-win situation, empowered, winner and so on.

Your best proactive advisor-“self only”

You cannot hold on to any relationship without being proactive.

Prepares one to be assertive NOT aggressive while interacting with others.

It is a life changing concept.

Enables one to say “NO”, essential aspect of assertive response.

Transform knowledge to skill through practice.

It expands your circle of influence .This is the most rewarding experience.

Proactive response means one is prepared to deal with negatives.

Now it is the time for you to choose between the two ways. One which has positive consequences and other which has negative- short & long term.

Remember you will never fight with a pig.If you do you will get dirty and the pig enjoys it.

THIS IS ME!

MY WEAKNESSES MAKE ME INFERIOR SO I LEAVE THEM BEHIND AND MOVE FORWARD WITH MY STRENGTH.

a great poem by great poetess Subhadra Kumari Cauhan

For those who are freshers at collage

Last few months were full of tension for class 12th students. Whole year they were studying like anything. Life was revolving around school, tutions & mocks. Their single goal was to give their best & get as much as marks they could get.

when the exams were over, yet they were busy in coaching classes or were giving entrance exams. Their minds were diverted from board exams to entrance exams. They were trying hard to get the subject and collage of their choice.

Now when they are settled and have got admission according to their performance they are indifferent mood. They are excited and looking forward to college life.

This will be a different world for them. So being the elder I want to say something.
Dear children, Till now you were leading a disciplined life. Even if you wanted to relax you did not have this option. Now you are excited about the free atmosphere of college life. Some of you are going to continue your studies in your own city while most of you are moving to other cities or metros. You may not realize that from now you will be the guest for us. First college, then career.Time for you to fly high.

Now onwards you have to grow on your own. We are always there to discuss with you, to guide you. It is up to you how you will utilize your freedom. Never forget the purpose of leaving home. You have to settle nicely in your life. We have given you whatever we could. Be it money, education, upbringing, facilities and moreover we tried to grow you as a good person.

we are leaving you to fly in the open sky. In every field choose the best for you. You decide for yourself what you want to be in future. So do your best at college. Don't forget your aim in the metro culture. Malls, multiplexes and shining markets will attract you. Remember all these things always will be there but "this time and this chance" you will never get again. Three years of college will decide your future and we wish you a bright and prosperous life ahead. may God bless you.

LIFE AFTER 50

                                       LET US DO SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE

Dear friends, till now you were busy with your children. Now when they have moved out for further studies or to settle in career and life as well,.then why are you feeling so depressed or feeling bore, not knowing how to spend so much free time. Till now you have lived to fulfil your duties towards your family. You didn't have time for yourself..Now when you have got time for yourself.then why to waste it in gossiping, kitty parties. Believe me, these are less entertaining and more problem giving. Think, what will you get out of this?.you may learn some recipes but after all, I'll get nothing satisfactory.

Then how is the idea to educate the children from home only. children of not only your maids, drivers, and other staff who are serving you but your neighbours also. People spread the notice that they are selling so and so thing from home, running hobby classes from home. Now you spread the notice that you are going to run the tuition classes for underprivileged children. Ask them to join you in this project. Ask them to force their maids to send their children in your classes. Ask your friends to join you. Spare only two hours. Help these kids in studies.I'm sure you will find it relaxing, exciting and satisfactory. Remember their parents are doing so much for you. You can do this for them.

You are your best judge.(from my inbox)

floralCornerUp

JUDGE

Once upon a time there was a painter who had just completed his course. He took 3 days and painted beautiful scenery. He wanted people's opinion about his caliber and painting skills.

He put his creation at a busy street-crossing. And just down below aboard which read -"I have painted this piece. Since I'm new to this profession I might have committed some mistakes in my strokes etc. Please put a cross wherever you see a mistake."

While he came back in the evening to collect his painting he was completely shattered to see that whole canvass was filled with Xs
(crosses) and some people had even written their comments on the painting.

Disheartened and broken completely he ran to his master's place and burst into tears.
This young artist was breathing heavily and master heard him saying"I'm useless and if this is what I have learnt to paint I'm not worth becoming a painter. People have rejected me completely. I feel like dying"

Master smiled and suggested "My Son, I will prove that you are a great
artist and have learnt flawless painting. Do as I say without questioning it. It WILL work."

Young artist reluctantly agreed and two days later early morning he presented a replica of his earlier painting to his master. Master took that gracefully and smiled.

"Come with me." master said.

They reached the same street-square early morning and displayed the same painting exactly at the same place. Now master took out anotherboard which read -"Gentlemen, I have painted this piece. Since I'm new to this profession I might have committed some mistakes in my strokesetc. I have put a box with colors and brushes just below. Please do a favor. If you see a mistake, kindly pick up the brush and correct it."

Master and disciple walked back home.

They both visited the place same evening. Young painter was surprised to see that actually there was not a single correction done so far. Next day again they visited and found painting remained untouched. They say the painting was kept there for a month for no correction came in!

Moral of the story:

It is easier to criticize, but DIFFICULT TO IMPROVE!

So don't get carried away or judge yourself by someone else’s criticism and feel depressed...

JUDGE YOURSELF! YOU ARE YOUR BEST JUDGE!!!
