You can't buy money!

It is a saying that “Money is not everything” but you will agree that at every step in life you need money to go ahead smoothly. Without money what can you do? Can you have any luxury without money? Can you take proper care of your health? And if you want to take precautions so that you do not get ill, you need money to buy variety of food to maintain good health -from fruit to dry fruit to green vegetable to....And God forbid if you get ill then you need money for medication. And here more money more care - formula rules. .
Everybody wants to maintain a good standard in life. In our society your status is measured according to your money power. But things which are status symbols in your society you can gain them only with money. Money and facilities go simultaneously on a graph. The more money the more facilities. You achieve all the comforts through money only. If you have money you can maintain a good lifestyle. Who does not want luxury, power, good health, and all the good things in life? And without money you get none of it.
Why people say money is not everything when without money you live to struggle and with money you live to enjoy.
And you have to "earn" this money which you use to buy all the comforts .This money is the only thing which you can’t buy. You need to use your intelligence and hard work which luckily you don’t have to buy. So let’s use these God given free gifts to have all the happiness on this planet.

IF YOU FIND YOURSELF AT DOWNSTEP

Thank god for not giving you so much luxury. Thus he has given you the opportunity to show your ability to go smoothly on the rough road. Now see if you can prove yourself.
They are beautiful because god has made them like this; they study abroad because their parents are capable to send them there. They are surrounded by all the luxuries and happiness and they have not done anything for it. They are enjoying the life but it is the grace of god.
But in your case it is up to you to make your life full of happiness and enjoyable.
Sometimes, some things are not in your hand. You have just to live. But still it is up to you to make sure that life full of odds can be enjoyable. Happiness is more pleasurable when you get it in the hype of problems. Nothing is in your hand but you have got the chance to show your ability (which everybody does not get) to face the tough situations in the right manner.
They who have every means of comfort do they have anything to be proud off, except their luxuries, which they only get because their fathers do great business. But still they are in tension because all the time they are struggling to prove themselves superior in their friend circle. The latest cell phone, the clothes of latest fashion, the latest model of cars......and the list goes on. And for this desire of show-off they shop, they boast in their circle and still they are not satisfied because just after they bought the latest model of a cell phone, the company launched another model with added features. So instead of being happy on what they have, they are tensed because their other friends have got a newer phone-model.They gather, they gossip, they eat, they laugh, they enjoy like you but do they have the thing which you call ability? Ability to enjoy while doing hard work for survival!

Story on cookies

A young lady was waiting for her flight in the boarding room of a big airport.
As she would need to wait many hours, she decided to buy a book to spend her time. She also bought a packet of cookies.
She sat down in an armchair, in the VIP room of the airport, to rest and read in peace.
Beside the armchair where the packet of cookies lay, a man sat down in the next seat, opened his magazine and started reading.
When she took out the first cookie, the man took one also. She felt irritated but said nothing. She just thought:
“What a nerve! If I was in the mood I would punch him for daring!”
For each cookie she took, the man took one too.
This was infuriating her but she didn’t want to cause a scene.
When only one cookie remained, she thought: “ah... What this abusive man do now?”
Then, the man, taking the last cookie, divided it into half, giving her one half.
Ah! That was too much!
She was much too angry now!
In a huff, she took her book, her things and stormed to the boarding place.
When she sat down in her seat, inside the plane, she looked into her purse to take her eyeglasses, and, to her surprise, her packet of cookies was there, untouched, unopened!
She felt so ashamed!! She realized that she was wrong...
She had forgotten that her cookies were kept in her purse.
The man had divided his cookies with her, without feeling angered or bitter.
...while she had been very angry, thinking that she was dividing her cookies with him. And now there was no chance to explain herself...nor to apologize.”

I AM HERE TO ENJOY HIS BLESSINGS

Anger Management Technique

I have subscribed to anmol@anmolmehta.com. Almost everyday i get emails from this site.I could not resist to share this very useful post with you all.If you like it,sign-up to be benifitted.

How to Be Free from Anger
There are some excellent techniques in yoga and ayurveda to help you deal with anger issues and help you free yourself from anger. Anger, as I have mentioned previously, is simply energy and many of the problems that anger leads to is due to the storm of powerful egocentric and aggressive thoughts that arise as a result of it. For long term peace and tranquility there is nothing better that meditation for dealing with anger. Techniques such as Zen Meditation Technique,
So Hum Mantra Meditation
or Smiling Buddha Meditation for Happiness are great for this. But, a more active and immediate method for dissipating anger and finding the calm within comes from the school Kundalini Yoga.
Before jumping into this technique let me point out some of the other articles on the website which also provide ways to deal with anger successfully. From Yoga Therapy there is the technique described here, Anger Management with Yoga Therapy. From the healing school of Ayurveda there are the following breathing exercises which are excellent for cooling the system and pacifying anger and irritation, Sheetali Pranayama for Anger and Stress Mangement and Seetkari Pranayama to Lower Blood Pressure. Feel free to try these, or combine them with the meditations above and the exercise below to create a nice anger management program for yourself.
If you are new to yoga, please be sure to follow the guidelines on how to practice yoga which I have detailed in the following 2 articles,
Beginner's Guide to Yoga Practice
and Guidelines for Kundalini Yoga Practice.
Anger Management Kundalini Yoga Exercise:
a. Instructions for practicing Anger Release Technique:
This technique is quite simple to practice and it's design is to help you get rid of the anger that is within consciously and then find the peaceful and infinite dimension of you being to promote calm and tranquility.
Sit up straight. You can do this exercise sitting on the floor cross legged, sitting up on your heels in rock pose or even sitting on a stool.
Now close your eyes and allow any anger within you, suppressed or otherwise, to rise up so you can get rid of it.
Next, remain angry, make fists, extend one arm out and start to punch forward with alternating fists. So as one arm punches forward, the other retreats. Breathe furiously as you do this. Allow all the anger energy to be consumed by your vigorous punching. Keep going if you feel there is more irritation or rage energy you need to get rid of. You your breath of help you keep going.
After completing the exercise lower your arms and relax completely. Put a gentle smile on your face and bring your awareness to your breath. Breathe into your heart center and out from your heart center. So feel each breath moving into the center of your chest and each breath emerging from there and flowing out. The heart center or Anahata Chakra, is the seat of love and forgiveness and this exercise and subsequent breathing will help open and balance this center for you. Feel love, affection and forgiveness start to flow.

Remain in this way, calm and peaceful for as long as you like.
b. Duration for Anger Management Technique:
You can do the active portion of this exercise for 15 seconds to 3 minutes. You can do the breathing in and out of the Heart Center for as long as you like.
c. Benefits of Anger Release Exercise:
Helps release suppressed anger, irritation and frustration.
Helps one consciously learn to release and be free from anger.

Helps to overcome hurts and frustration.
Helps bestow peace and tranquility.
Helps to tone the chest and shoulders.
d. Practice Tips for Anger Management Exercise:
Don't be afraid to get angry when doing this practice.
In general, don't judge yourself when you get angry. We all get angry and there is nothing wrong with that, it is ok. Just learn to observe anger when it does arise and don't get swept away with the ego empowering, hateful, negative thoughts that anger ignites. Instead, try to use this opportunity to practice forgiveness and love.
The real sign of a yogi or monk is keeping their composure and equanimity when faced with stressful and upsetting situations. So use those situations to practice Mindfulness and use these situations as opportunity for spiritual growth.

from-The speaking tree (TOI)

Even this shall pass.

A mantra that cheers

Is there anyone among us who does not wish to be happy? That’s unlikely. However, happiness and sorrow do not drop from the skies. Your thoughts are the cause of happiness and sorrow. Even if you are in a happy state, and a sad thought enters your mind, you suddenly feel unhappy, isn’t it? If you want to be ever cheerful, remember the following mantra: “Even this shall pass.” Let this be inscribed indelibly in your heart. With the practice of this mantra you can remain alert in the event of both pleasure and pain and stop yourself from getting engrossed in them. Then, you can establish yourself in the supreme bliss of equanimity. Pairs of opposites such as pleasure and pain, honour and insult, joy and sorrow affect the body. They will come and go in greater or lesser degree so long as the body exists. Do not be overwhelmed by them. You are the absolute Self, imperishable Atman while pleasures and pains are fleeting. How can they ever affect you? They have no existence of their own. In fact, they appear on the ground of your existence. You are distinct from them. Hence witness them, withstand them, and let them pass away. Be ever blissful and peaceful. There is no object that brings pleasure or pain. They are creations of your mind, your thoughts and feelings. With the help of these thoughts be absorbed in your own eternal Being, the Truth absolute and be always peaceful. You are the Supreme Bliss, Brahmn personified. It is your Self that dwells in all. The happiness that appears in the world is in fact just a glimpse of Self-bliss. It is your inner bliss but because of your ignorance, you think it is obtained from external objects of sense pleasures. Just as the sun’s reflection in water is not the real sun but is merely an illusory appearance thereof, so also is the pleasure experienced through sense-enjoyments – it is not real bliss. It is illusion, not real. Supreme Brahmn alone is existence, consciousness and bliss absolute. It is the One absolute reality which appears as existence, consciousness and bliss in different beings. But one who has a pure heart beholds the Lord as the One, non-dual Reality. A person prayed to Swami Ramatirtha, “Swamiji! Bless me that i become king of the world.” Swami Ramatirtha asked him, “What will you do if you become so?” The man replied, “I will be pleased and happy.” Swami Ramatirtha said, “Suppose you become a king, you will still come across many miseries in your life since the things through which you seek pleasure are themselves transient. They never remain with anybody forever, then how will they stay with you? Better than that, if you renounce the desire for seeking pleasure from transient things you will attain supreme bliss right now. That would be greater than the happiness you can derive from your dream kingdom.” The mind becomes peaceful when it overcomes desires; then you can experience imperishable bliss. True peace lies only in the renunciation of desires. A content person alone can remain happy. Even a millionaire is bankrupt without contentment. A content person is the wealthiest of all. He alone attains peace. Appreciate the present. Overcome greed and be content with what you have. Give thanks to God. Then you could help others achieve bliss.
